A recent study of the The Youth Care Foundation (Stiftelsen Ungdomsvård) has described WoW as the Cocaine of the Gaming market. According to the study WoW addiction plays a part in the majority of game addiction cases.

Interesting idea but who will work with this thing when having a macbook, probably for mobile game sound or interactive sound games and quizzes

I came across a very interesting site looking at the social dimensions of online games. You can find a lot of statistics about average game time for leveling and leveling curves for keeping players motivated. Other statistics look at the stability and cohesion of groups on game servers.

I have supervised two Master Thesis about Mobile and Location Aware Gaming. Martina Unger and Lynn Zielke developed Locatory a location aware games based on WLAN Tracking and a Flash Application enabling two teams to play.
